After a career in the asset management sector, Susan joined Trust Associates in 2009 and focuses on our director search business, working with a wide range of Boards on their succession planning and other projects. She has been involved in the investment trust sector for many years from both an operational and advisory perspective.

Elisabeth Scott, Chair, Association of Investment Companies (AIC)
Elisabeth joined the Board of the AIC in 2018 and was elected Chair in January 2021. She was Deputy Chair in 2020. She is a member of the Nominations and Remuneration Committees.
She is the Chair of India Capital Growth Fund and JPMorgan Global Emerging Markets Income Trust and a director of Allianz Technology Trust.
She began her career as a trainee investment manager with British Investment Trust and continued to have an involvement with investment companies during her time at Edinburgh Fund Managers, including as fund manager of American Trust. From 1992-2008 Elisabeth had a career in fund management with Schroders in Hong Kong. From 2005-2007 Elisabeth chaired the Hong Kong Investment Funds Association.
Simon Westlake, Executive, City of London Investment Management Company
City of London Investment Management is a specialist investor in closed-end funds. Simon joined the firm in 2008 and is Head of Corporate Governance in London. Prior to joining CLIM, he spent six years managing a long / short equity fund with Charles Taylor plc, having previously been a pension fund manager at Gartmore Investment Management.
Joe Winkley, Head of Investment Trusts, Winterflood Securities
Joe is Head of Investment Trusts and a Director of Winterflood Securities. He currently advises over 50 investment companies and is responsible for all listed fund transactions including IPOs, issuance and corporate advisory. Joe has over 15 years’ experience in investment funds and has advised on over £10bn of fundraising. Joe joined Winterflood in 2013 and previously worked at Oriel, UBS, Dresdner Kleinwort and Slaughter and May, where he qualified as a solicitor.
