Edison welcomes new leadership for the industrials team following Andy Chambers’ retirement
Industrials team will continue to operate on a global scale providing comprehensive and valuable sector and stock analysis
Edison Group, the leading international equity research and investor relations firm, recently announced the retirement of Andy Chambers, Director of Industrials, after a distinguished career.
Andy has been an equity analyst researching the capital goods sector since 1984, covering a broad range of micro- to large-cap stocks. He successfully built and led teams at Commerzbank, MF Global, Redburn Partners, and Cantor Fitzgerald before joining Edison in 2015. He was ranked 12th for Aerospace & Defence in the 2013 Institutional Investor All-Europe Survey and is a well-respected thought leader in the industrials sector, with expert commentary frequently seen in This is Money, the Evening Standard, and CityAM.
Succeeding Andy as Industrials Team leaders are Andrew Keen and Natalya Davies. Andrew is celebrating a year at Edison, previously acting as an industry consultant on issues including decarbonisation, critical minerals, and long-term structural change. Prior to this, Andrew led metals and mining research at several financial institutions, having begun his career in the Australian mining industry. Natalya joined Edison’s industrials team in September 2022, having been an analyst in Edison’s healthcare team since May 2022. This move underscores Edison’s commitment to maintaining excellence and continuity in both its industrials’ coverage, as well as its broader analytical and advisory functions, and closely follows the Group marking its 20th anniversary.
Will Whitehorn, Chair of Seraphim Space Investment Trust PLC, Good Energy PLC and Craneware PLC, shared, “Andy and I started working in the City at the same time in the mid-1980s and he has been a stalwart of the analyst community in the square mile ever since and we have both seen more changes in London’s financial community than we could have ever imagined. Through it all he has developed a great reputation for cool company analysis and a deep understanding of the key aerospace and industrial sectors he has covered, and he will be much missed in the Square Mile.”
Neil Shah, Executive Director of Content & Strategy at Edison Group, added “Andy brought a diversity and wealth of experience to Edison and has been a key member of our industrials team. With a city career spanning over 30 years, we are delighted that he’s been part of Edison for the last nine of these. I’m pleased he’s nurtured and developed the next generation of analysts in his later years at Edison, sharing his knowledge and insight and leaving the sector team in a strong position. We are all extremely grateful for his contribution and wish him the best for his retirement years.”
Looking ahead, the Edison team wishes Andy the best in his retirement and expects the industrials team to continue to provide the robust and valuable sector analysis, which Andy helped to establish. Under the guidance of the new leadership team, Edison will continue to deliver insightful perspectives on the industry to their clients.
