SIGA Technologies (NASDAQ: SIGA) expands African footprint with Morocco agreement
Published by Jyoti Prakash

SIGA Technologies has entered into an agreement with the Ministry of Health in Morocco to supply its antiviral treatment TPOXX, to prepare against a potential mpox outbreak. This marks SIGA’s first commercial entry into the African continent (currently only available under emergency use protocols), following recent inroads across Europe and Asia-Pacific, as part of its strategic aim to expand its presence in international markets.

TPOXX is approved for the treatment of smallpox in SIGA’s domestic US and Canadian markets and is authorised in Europe and the UK for the treatment of all orthopoxviruses, including smallpox and mpox.
